    Beginner Yin Yoga: These classes focus on holding gentle stretches for longer periods of time in order to gently stretch your connective tissues. Muscles generally take 30-60 seconds to stretch, and can stretch both statically (staying still) and dynamically (with gentle movement), but tissues like fascia, tendons and ligaments require longer, usually a minimum of 3 minutes, and are much safer when stretched statically (when still or with very slow, minor adjustments). Yin also has fantastic meditative and restorative qualities. When holding gentle stretches for longer, your mind and body are gently encouraged to relax. Many people find that they sleep much better after doing a Yin Yoga class. Students are always encouraged to listen to their bodies and only go to where they feel gentle sensations, NOT pain, when stretching, and to breathe. Self- adjustment as the pose time lengthens is always encouraged to make sure the student feels safe and is not stretching beyond their comfortable limits. These classes will use similar postures from week to week, but in different configurations to ensure the students get the most from their classes.

    Holistic Hatha (Power) Yoga: A 90-Minute class to dive deeper into a more holistic Hatha class. We will have themes each week to expand our practice beyond just the physical, to the mental and emotional aspects of yoga. For those who want a bit more of a physical practice, but don't want to go to a traditional gym, this is a great option. Particularly in the beginning months, we will focus on building stability and strength, along with stretching, using basic yoga postures. Alternatives are given whenever possible for those who may need to make things less challenging, as well as ways to bring the level up a bit for those who wish to safely explore a bit more difficulty in their practice. This is great for those who think they can't stay still for very long! These beginner power classes will usually change from week to week to keep your body guessing, while building strength and flexibility. Students are always encouraged to listen to their bodies and not to push beyond their physical and mental limits.

    Beginner Hatha Yoga: This is a gentle stretching and strengthening class using basic postures, suitable for most people. This is a great class to learn how to do yoga! Alternatives are always given to help those who need a gentler variation, as well as for those who would like to challenge themselves a little more. This class will vary from week to week to keep students' minds and bodies curious and engaged, but will be geared towards beginners. Students are always encouraged to listen to their bodies and only do what is comfortable for themselves physically and mentally.

    Interval/Circuit Fitness: STUDENTS MUST HAVE A MAT AND INDOOR-ONLY FITNESS SHOES TO PARTICIPATE. This is an active low-moderate impact fitness class that incorporates light resistance (bands, tubes and light weights) in addition to body weight exercises to raise your heart rate, burn calories, build stability throughout the body, and keep you fit today, tomorrow, and for the rest of your life! Classes vary week to week to keep your body and mind guessing, but still have lots of instruction and guidance to keep you safe and on the right track. Students are always encouraged to listen to their bodies and only do what is comfortable for themselves physically and mentally.

    Restorative Yoga: These classes focus on relaxing deeply into very gentle postures that are designed for deep restoration of body systems. You will need a mat, blanket, bolster and blocks, and occasionally a chair. Postures are held for 10 minutes or more to encourage deep meditation and relaxation. The aim is NOT to feel a stretch or pull, but rather to find a posture that is so comfortable, the participant can actually fall asleep. Self- adjustment as the pose time lengthens is always encouraged to make sure the student feels safe and is not holding beyond their comfortable limits. These classes will use similar postures from week to week, but in different configurations to ensure the students get the most from their classes.

    Chair Yoga: This is a very, very gentle series of stretches done in a sturdy chair at a slow, steady pace. This is a great class for those with limited mobility, or who are just returning to exercise after surgery (always with a doctor's permission, of course). For those who can stand for short periods, we will do short stretches with the support of the chair. All students are always encouraged to listen to their bodies and only go as far as is comfortable. Those with artificial joints or achy backs may find this especially beneficial. These classes will follow a similar sequence from week to week for students to see their progress as time goes on. As always, ask your doctor if you are unsure whether you are ready for an exercise program or not. Please feel free to contact me with any questions you may have.

    ☆ SPECIAL EVENT ☆ Space is limited, please register ASAP to ensure enough time to get your oils for this workshop! Please note this is an ONLINE workshop and you will need to be able to use Zoom to access this workshop.

    'Tis the season to be... harried and stressed? Not at all! This is the season to cultivate gratitude and that is what this wonderful workshop is all about. All are welcome, some yoga experience is preferred but not mandatory - all postures will be given alternatives to keep participants comfortable.

    Join Meghann Lynch for an immersive, online, 2-hour yoga and essential oils workshop where we will be cultivating gratitude. This workshop will be a gentle, holistic Hatha class involving philosophy (how to cultivate gratitude), mantra ("I feel gratitude), breathwork, gentle physical postures, gentle meditation and essential oils to enhance our postures and emotions.

    Essential oils are powerful healing substances that allow us to access our limbic system - a deep part of our brain that can affect our physical and mental states. When combined in a thoughtful and intentional way with a holistic yoga practice, we are able to go deeper into our yoga, experiencing postures more fully, and our emotions and healing more deeply.

    This workshop includes a 15 minute preparation talk, a 90-minute gentle hatha class, and a 15 minute closing where we can discuss how we felt during the class, answer any questions, and be together in community. You will also receive a package of essential oils to use during your workshop. If you have a diffuser, that is ideal, but not essential - we can work with just the oils!

    Recommended in addition to your yoga mat are 2 blocks, a strap, a blanket, and perhaps a bolster. If you do not have these, don't worry! Contact us and we will talk about how to use what you have around the house instead of props.
